Christmas Eve we took it easy. The kids made peanut butter cookies with chocolate kisses to leave out for Santa and Rudolph. Alex decided that Rudolph would rather eat cookies than carrots... and I imagine that she is right. Jordan loved smashing the dough balls with the folk! Demolish was more like it...such a boy! Alexis and Daddy watched A Christmas Story together. It was her first time to see it. We weren't real sure because of the would-be "curse words", but we found that they rolled right past her because she was too busy asking questions on why wet tongues stick to frozen polls. Gotta love how her brain works! The kids went to bed with no problems. I however, was scolded a few times that I needed to get off my computer or else Santa wouldn't come.
Christmas morning Alex woke up and cleaned her room before coming out. (Can we say shocked?) We woke up to the sounds of our boobie trap... Wind chimes hung from the gate. We got dressed and ready and headed downstairs. The kids first attacked the raceway and shake and go cars. We almost had to remind them that there were other gifts! Stockings only had a few things but Alex really loved her girly items inside. She got a gymnastics shorts/full skirt she had been begging for, some jeweled hair clips and candy necklaces. Jordan of course needed the Thomas Train opened right away. They then discovered the rest of the items. Alex received the guitar she wanted, a real cute outfit and a Monopoly Jr Princess edition. Jordan got a Spiderman memory game, a big magnet stick and ball toy, and a Spiderman helicopter. They both got a piano and an easel to share. They received so much more. Mom and Dad's house brought a whole new slew of toys. Fairies, Spiderman pillow, play kitchen appliances, Firestation train parts... I could go on and on. Kinda sick ;) Too much to list.
We had lunch at Mom and Dad's. We had such a good time. The day after Christmas, Chris and Paul came up with a great slide that they added onto the playscape for the kids. More food. More toys. It was such a great Holiday this year!
Here is the gift I got. Poor Critter... only got a watch from me ;)
