You're Lying!

Tuesday the plans started out easy enough. Kids picked up from school. Quick snacks. Pack lunchbox dinners. Head to Children's Museum to finally utilize the costly museum passes that we purchased some months ago now.

{Well life gets in the way as you all know}

LilJ and LilA's lunches ended up just consisting of snacks and both moms were out of stuff to make dinners, without time left to go to the store. Miss E and BabyGirl are always "staaaaaarving" when they arrive home from school. What to do. What to do.

Plan change #1. Pack up all kidlets and go OUT to eat... then head to museum. So, we settle on Souper Salads for dinner. MMMM! Firstly because our two little ones still eat free there and secondly because us mommies aren't forced into another fast food fried meal where we have to wrangle whinning kids who don't want to eat because they only want to go play on the fast food germ tainted playscape. On a whim however, we call the museum to see when they close. How fast do we need to rush thru our meal we are wondering. Sadly the woman on the other end of the phone tells us that they close on this day at 5! It's currently 4.

Plan change #2. Pick up the dreaded aforementioned fast food, TO GO, and head to Radijazz. Our museum membership allows us a buy one get one free entry and my kids have asked to visit this place at least 3x a week for a month now. We tell them there has been a change of plans. We didn't tell them what the change was because they promptly starting chanting that we were liars and we were going to the museum. So like any good mommies, we decide not to tell them where we are headed but instead start taunting them and making bets ;) Before we arrived at the indoor playground, I was promised that 4 short people would be washing my car. Ahhh slave labor!

When we arrived in the parking lot, shouts of glee from the back. Let me tell anyone who is reading that enjoys this place that THIS is TRULY the time to go. The place was E-M-P-T-Y!! Two other families were there. 2! T-W-O!! J and I enjoyed the silence (humming Depeche Mode now...) and even treated ourselves to massage chair visits. Woot woot!!

Of course I had to sporadically chase squealing kids from one end of the room to the other, dive into the "volcano" with them a few times and have foam block fights. But really. We were there for the kids ;)
