Friday, Little J and I went on a Tiny Footprints Tour to the Wild Basin Preserve with our playgroup. We had the "Ants and Rollypollie Tour", led by what had to have been somebody's grandmothers! I have to say that I was truly impressed with these ladies. They had to be in their late 70s and they were climbing very steep hills, cane in hand, and flipping over ginormous rocks solo! I can only *hope* that I am in that kind of shape when I'm that age. They were volunteers and were absolutely great with the kids. It's was HOT... but the kid's didn't seem to mind. They were surprisingly attentive. J told me the whole way home that he "loved the basin" and we should "go back with Daddy and Big Sister to climb the mountains".
